The Independent Archaeologist - A Threatened Species?
On Saturday May 18th May 2002 the Council for Independent Archaeology
presented a one day conference on the subject "The Independent
Archaeologist - A Threatened Species?"
The conference showcased the work of Independent Archaeologists
in the UK and principally in Scotland.
The meeting was hosted by Lanark and District Archaeological Society
in New Lanark. After a welcome by Jim Arnold, the Director of New
Lanark Heritage Centre and Andrew Selkirk, Chairman of the CIA,
the delegates heard a number of varied presentations.
