The Best of British ArchaeologyThe 1997 Congress was held at Nottingham University on 19th - 20th September 1997 on the theme "The Best of British Archaeology. The main sessions featured the work of the leading independent archaeologists in the country, as featured in the recent 'Pitt Rivers' awards of the British Archaeology Awards. Other sessions included the work of some of the leading professional archaeologists, while the final session looked at work in progress and planned for the future.
